Why ads may appear
Advertising can help fund infrastructure, content operations, moderation, and ongoing improvements to search and reading experiences.
We aim to place ads in a way that does not overwhelm the site or interfere with core educational use.
Editorial independence
- Advertising does not automatically determine what resources are published or how they are categorized.
- Moderation, rights review, and content governance are intended to remain separate from ad sales or ad-serving logic.
- We avoid placing ads on sensitive internal or trust-focused workflows where they would reduce confidence.
Personalization and consent
Depending on region, configuration, and user consent status, ads may be personalized or non-personalized.
Where required, personalized ad handling should be tied to a compliant consent flow rather than assumed by default.
Our current implementation supports first-party privacy choices and non-personalized handling, but additional CMP integration may still be required for some regulated regions.
